Dear Mr. Frick,
Dear Mr. Frick,
I regret having been unsuccessful in arranging the purchase of the Rembrant for you at $200,000. – I worked hard but my persuasive powers were unavailing – I must however tell you that it was not because I was satisfied with the profit, but simply my great desire that you should possess this matchless masterpiece. I have pictured it in your gallery since first beginning negotiations for it over four weeks ago.
