6. 575,000 M.M.247. OVAL PLAQUE with sunk centre of Limoges enamel overfill, representing the Emperor Marcus Aurelius Antoninus on Horseback, having the scepter in his right hand. The border is enamelled in black ground and across ornaments in blue and gilt; the whole set in a gilt bronze frame. By Leonard Limousin. N. 10,000

M.M. 263. OBLONG PLAQUE by Leonard Limousin representing the Chariot of Religion crushing heretics. In the chariot drawn by four doves is seated Antoinette de Bourbon. Close to the chariot and pushing the wheel is the Duc de Guise. In front, near the chariot, is the Cardinal de Lorraine and next to him is the Constable de Montmorency; to the extreme right a priest explaining the Bible. At the base of the plaque are various portraits of Protestants, in carved and gilt fram with enamel plaques. Signed L.L. (Leonard Limousin). N. 22,500
