NOTE File /NOTE
Pride's Crossing, Massachusetts, July 23, 1908.
My dear Roland:
The Southern Pacific purchased for you about a year ago showed a loss at one time of about forty-five thousand dollars and I have cabled you to know whether you wish to take that profit or note. One man's guess is about as good as another's. I am perfectly willing to carry it for you if you believe it will go higher.
I have to thank you for your favor of the fourteenth. Very glad to hear from you and delighted to know that you are having a good time.
With kind regards, Yours sincerely,
To Mr. Roland Knoedler, 23, Place Vendome, Paris.
