A PAIR OF CANDELABRA FOR SEVEN LIGHTS They are formed of ormolu vases containing a bunch of roses which form the sooner for the candles. At the base of the vase are seated three Bacchantes after Marin (1773-1834) playing on various instruments. Fine chased rams' heads terminate the columns supporting the vases. Lapis-lazuli of remarkable quality decorates the body of the vases and forms the background for the metal work on the plinths. The mounts are the work of Gouthiere.
