/LETTERHEAD November 18, 1904.

Mr. H. C. Frick, Frick Building, Pittsburg, Pa.

Dear Mr. Frick:

I apologize for my bookkeeper not sending you a receipt for the check of $100,000 which you handed me, and which has been placed to the credit of your account. He has been sick for several days. When he returns I will have him make out an itemized bill, as requested by you.

We duly "lifted" at the Mercantile Trust Company our $100,000 note to your order, which was due on the 3d inst.

I have concluded, owing to the above illness, not to go to St. Louis for the present, and will await Carstairs return. He sailed Wednesday on the "Baltic."

With kind regards to the family, believe me, Very sincerely yours,

SIGNED Roland F. Knoedler
