My dear Mr. Frick:-

Your favor of the 20th inst., is at hand. In reply I beg to say that I hope the painting by Rousseau which I wrote to you about will still be in our possession when you come to New York, as it is a very fine example.

You are quite right in not wanting to dispose of your paintings by Inness, unless at some future time you might be able to get a better work, then you can always have us try and sell them for you.

Our commission for selling pictures is 15 per cent.
