New York, December 16, 1918.

Dear Mr. Stoughton: I have your favor of the 11th. Owning to the Prevailing epidemic and which seems to be returning, I have thought it better not to permit any large body to visit mt galleries, therefore I regret extremely I cannot comply with your requests. I take pleasure in sending a card herewith for Brigadier_General L.R. Kenyon and friends: he may wish to bring two or three friends with him to see the pictures before he leaves the country. This card he can use any time. In the near future I hope things will be in such shape that I can extend the privilege to your members and guests to visit the galleries.

Yours very truly, Mr. Bradley Stoughton, Sec'y, American Inst. Mining Engineers, 29 West 39th Street, N.Y.
