COPY IN LETTERBOOK.

                                                                     December 13, 1910.

Dear Mr. Fry :

We are without anything from you for a long

time. No reply to my daughter's letter regarding what she thought we should have relating to The Polish Rider.

A lawyer by the name of Mr. Henry B. Culver, of

this city, has called my attention to a portrait by Holbein of Sir Thomas Moore, that is owned by a gentleman in England. The price asked for it, of course, is very high and not necessary to mention at this time.

I have asked Mr. Culver to write you and arrange

so that you could see the picture and make a report to me as to just what you think of it, and you might at the same time give me an idea of what you think it is worth. I would rather have this from you before you know what they are asking for it.

With the Compliments of the Season,
                                           Believe me,
                                                                Yours very truly,

Mr. Roger E. Fry,

       Chantry Dene,
               Guildford, England .
