Arthur Tooth & Sons, 41, Boulevard des Capucined, Paris

My dear Mr. Frick, I hope you arrived all safely in American and feel all the better for your trip in Europe. I enclose bill for the three pictures by Thaulow, (one pastel and 2 oil painitngs), also the Greuze and Nattier which I hope have been delivered safely to you. The Greuze was painted for the family of Baron Sezille. It has never been out of the family since it was painted and is the portrait of a member of the family. It is understood that in two years I shall take the two pictures back if you ask for it at the same price. I am bargaining for a very fine Nattier and if I can get it, you will have the first offer of it. To avoid what happened last year I should be very much obliged if you would either send me a cheque here at your convenience or let me know when you pay firm in New York. Please give my kind regards to Mrs. Frick and children and believe me, my dear Mr. Frick, Yours very turly, Edmond Simon. P.S. Your picture by Degnan is going on splendidly and I hope to send you a photo of it end of October or take one with me when I go to America in November.
