My Dear Sir:-

    I have pleasure in notifying you that at the Art Socity reception in Carnegie Music Hall last night the report of the judges in the Art competition, made possible through your generosity, was read. The awards were as follows:
    The first prize of $150. to Frederick A. Spreen, No. 55 S. 7th St., Pittsburg, for his picure in oil "Head of a Man".
    The second prize of $100. to Grace C. Evans, Tarentum, Pa., for her water color "Study of Pigeons".
    First honorable mention to Margaret Van Cortlandt Whitehead of Pittsburg for her picture in oil "Head of Lady".
    Second honorable mention to Audley Dean Nicols of Sewickley for his white oil composit entitled "Waiting to be Served". 
    Third honorable mention to Frana Magdalene Hoffman, NO. 703 S. NEgley Ave., Pittsburg, for her water color "Study of Ponies".
    I beg to express to you again the obligation the Society feels for your practical and timely donation whicih gave an undeniable incentive to young art workers of this community. AFter a few days an exhibition will be made of all the pictures submitted under the competition, the date and place of which I will take pleasure in notifying you of.
