Sept. 23d, 1916.

My dear Miss Braddel :–

I received in yesterday's mail the Duveen invoices and correspondence about the bronzes, etc., recently purchased. The correspondence is not complete and indicates that the question of the $1000 item is not yet settled. However I note Mr. F. has O.K'd the later bill and I presume it is settled to his satisfaction. Do you know if his O.K. means I am to pay the bill promptly? My thought is he might wish it paid before he takes up other matters with them in N. Y. next Tuesday, but in view of the way the correspondence comes to me I am not sure. Will you kindly wire me on Monday if the bill is the be settledcrossed out paid promptly? Trust you are quite well. Hope you are having good weather. It is delightful in Pgh. at present.

Yours very truly, singed: W. J. Naughton
