My dear Mr. Frick: Enclosed you will find the list of bronzes, which I received from Miss Green late this afternoon. Those marked with blue pencil, (the markings are hers), namely: No. 20 checkmark and "D24" in graphite, Queen Tomyris with the head of Cyrus; No. 74 checkmark and "D84" in graphite, The Resurrection; and the portrait bust, No. 100 checkmark and "D114" in graphite, all of which you have here, Miss Green strongly urges you to acquire. She is not wildly enthusiastic about Nos. 143 and 144. Although she thinks that they are fine, they have not the exceeding charm of all the others. Also, Miss Green has written a note for you at the end of this list in regard to the David checkmark in graphite, tentatively attributed by Bode to Verrocchio. It is No. 16 "D16" in graphite in the Bode Catalogue, Plate XIII. It was never considered an unquestionable attribution, as you will see from the query mark in Bode's Catalogue. No. 75 "Not on Duveen list" in graphite, The Assumption, she likes only fairly well. It is not here among your things, so you need not bother about it.
