H.C. Frick, Esql Pride's Crossing, Mass.

Dear Sir:

We beg to acknowledge receipt of your kind favor of the 6th inst., with reference to the settlement of sale of goods amounting to $656,130.00, as per our letter of July 29th. In reply we wish to say that on November 2nd, 1915, we have to pay a very large amount to the Morgan Estate and in our financial arrangement we have figured to some extent on the stock to be received from you. Our Mr. Joseph Duveen will not return from abroad before November 15th and under the circumstances we are of course anxious to complete our financial arrangements in proper time. As you have so kindly volunteered to pay us either cash or to deliver Pennsylvania stock, we would indeed appreciate it if you could meet our requirements in such a way as to assist us in the aforesaid payment to the Morgan Estate.

We trust it will not inconvenience you to grant us this favor and thanking you in anticipation of a favorable reply, believe us to remain,

Yours very truly, signature Duveen Brother
