Prides Crossing, Mass, August 9, 1916.

My dear Mr. Agnew: My best thanks for yours of July 24th and its enclosure. I am delighted to be the owner of "The Mall" which I thinks in every respect a superb picture, and I hope you will come across in the near future and see it on my walls. The great trouble, however is, these pictures cost too much money, but of course, it is difficult to estimate the value of a good picture. We are all anxious for a successful termination of the war, and hail with delight any victory for the Allies. Always, Sincerely yours,

Lockett Agnew, Esq., 43, Old Bond Street, London, W., England.
