The price asked is £20,000 (Twenty thousand pounds) You remember that Mr. Morgan gave £35,000 for his Ghirlandajo, but then I
am bound to admit his was
a far more attractive picture.
I will not say what I think of
this till I have seen it. Mr.
Horne is incomparably the best
authority on Florentine art in
Europe but I confess I am not
altogether overcome by the photograph.
I submit it to you because I
like to give you the opportunity
of getting any very important piece
that comes to my notice but I shall
