July 7, 1914. Mr. Frick: - Please find enclosed mail and cash statement, with some clippings. In the list of paintings that went to Pride’s, we notice one Renoir. We have no official notice of this painting, and do not have it the on books. Do you wish to give any instruction in regard to this picture? Informally, I learned through Mr. Gerrity that it was sold to you last March; but as stated we do not have it on the books. Some rain fell last evening. To-day it is partly cloudy.
