I do not know Mr. Max Pollak. The addresses he gives are not in a particularly good quarter.
I enclose Capoul's letter to me concerning Mr. Vaughan. I had the translation made, which, had I thought for a moment, was unnecessary in your case as Helen could have told you all about it. Capoul is a teacher at the Conservatory of Music here and gives private lessons besides. If you wish, after having read his letter, I might ask him how much it would cost for the month or two, tuition, if Vaughan thinks of going on the stage.
I suppose that you have seen the 'American Rousseau' who is in your city with Mr. Carstairs.
