Dear Mr. Frick,
Dear Mr. Frick,
I am in receipt of your favor of yesterday with check of Five thousand dollars with which we have credited your account - we debit you with Six thousand dollars price you agreed to give for it. I can readily understand that Mr. Woodwell should be enthusiastic over this fine piece of color - any real connoisseur
will certainly congratulate you on the valuable addition
made to your collection. A lady who saw the picture last week called and seem to regret it - would you let it go for $9500!

Dear Mr. Frick, I am in receipt of your favor of yesterday with check of Five thousand dollars with which we have credited your account - we debit you with Six thousand dollars price you agreed to give for it. I can readily understand that Mr. Woodwell should be enthusiastic over this fine piece of color - any real connoisseur will certainly congratulate you on the valuable addition made to your collection. A lady who saw the picture last week called and seem to regret it - would you let it go for $9500!

I fear that in my telegram of yesterday you understood that I asked you to send the money - this was not the case. I meant to communicate telegram from owner which I enclose - please return it to me and not mention his name.

Chartran wrote me that he had changed his mind about going to the Club - he seems to be accustomed to the Hotel & still he told me to wire you that he would avail himself of the Club. I thank you all the same. The Vever collection is to be sold in Paris next Monday. There are some good things in it but I think they will bring very high prices. If I secure anything will let you know.

Very truly yours Roland F. Knoedler
