2/7- Mrs. & Miss Thompson & friends Except Tues.

SLASON THOMPSON RAILWAY EXCHANGE BUILDING CHICAGO TELEPHONE HARRISON 4592

February 5, 1919. Ack. 2/7/19-

My dear Mr. Frick: Mrs. Thompson, who is in New York, writes me that our duaghter [daughter] Julia, who is with her, has expressed a desire to see your collection of paintings; and I take advantage of the possibility that you may know me sufficiently to justify a request for a card to her for that purpose. If this were merely a matter of curiosity or sight seeing on her part, I would not trouble you. But she is a student of painting, whose studies in France were interrupted by the war, and she has had few opportunities and little time, as you may easily judge, to see much good painting since 1914. Her address is care of Manhattan Hotel, New York. There will be no harm done if for any reason you overlook this request, as she will not know that it is made. Yours very truly, Slason Thompson

Mr. H.C. Frick, One East 70th Street, New York City.
