The week began with Inoue, the former undisputed bantamweight champion, moving up to face unbeaten unified super bantamweight champion Stephen Fulton. Much like Crawford did on Saturday, Inoue was frighteningly good Tuesday, a terrifying combination of speed and power and he stopped Fulton in the eighth round.

Over the past half-decade, Spence and Crawford have established themselves as the top performers in a talented division. From a competitive standpoint, matching them up against one another seemed natural. But boxing is also a business, and promotional contracts helped keep Spence and Crawford apart until Saturday.

Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs) made his fifth consecutive title defense, but it didn't come easy -- far from it. Porter (31-4-1, 17 KOs) applied relentless pressure in a rugged, tit-for-tat battle before Crawford scored two knockdowns in Round 10, leading Porter's father and trainer, Kenny Porter, to throw in the towel.

Terence Crawford is considered the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world. However, after becoming the undisputed welterweight champion in 2023, "Bud" hasn’t entered the ring since. He returns to action attempting to win gold in another division when he faces WBA super welterweight champion Israil Madrimov on August 3.

Round 3: Kalajdzic testing Morrell with the jab. Morrell eats a couple and walks through them before landing an assortment of punches. Drilling Kalajdzic as the round comes to a close. Morrell 30, Kalajdzic 27.

Round 2: Both fighters connect, but Commey takes the worst of the exchange. And now Commey's down! He's badly hurt and stumbling all around the ring. The ref registers the count and Lopez swarms Commey, unloading vicious right hooks. This one is over! The ref stops it! Teofimo Lopez Jr. has realized his boyhood dream of becoming a world champion. Scintillating finish for Lopez!

Round Four: Crawford lands a pair of left hands. Spence trying to muscle forward. Crawford goes to work. Spence gets on the inside and lands to the body and head. Uppercut from Spence lands clean. Crawford with a combination. Big overland left from Bud hurts Spence. Here he comes! He's all over Spence. Spence backs him off with a jab. They exchange hooks. Bud is STRONG. Hard right hand from Bud moves Spence back. Crawford is advancing on spence crawford fight date now. He's starting to takeover this fight in a big way.

On the undercard, Jarrell Miller (27-1-2) fought Andy Ruiz Jr. (35-2-1) to a majority draw despite controlling the fight. One judge scored it 116-112 in Miller’s favor, while the other two each gave 114-114 tallies.

The fighters landed 130 shots each in the fight, but the punch stats were not an indicator of how Santiago (28-3-5, 14 KOs) controlled the fight in the latter stages to dominate Donaire (42-8, 28 KOs) throughout their 12-round tilt.

"They said I wasn't good enough and I couldn't beat these welterweights," Crawford said. "I just kept my head to the sky and kept praying to God that I would get the opportunity to show the world how great Terence Crawford is. Tonight, I believe I showed how great I am."

"This fight is happening at the right time. All the belts are on the line, so there’s even more to fight for. What better way to have this fight than to have it for the undisputed welterweight title?"

Spence came out in round three determined to turn the tide after the knockdown, throwing big shots, including a left hook that landed cleanly early. However, Crawford was able to withstand the attack and showed his precision by landing a clean counter right that again staggered Spence.

Round 1: Harvey Dock the referee for this main event. Spence takes the center of the ring, Crawford right there to meet him. Spence content to jab at Crawford for now. Crawford starts to get his jab going. Spence with the first advance. He scores to the body and Crawford ties him up. Good jab from Crawford. There’s the 1-2 for Spence. Spence claiming some space, staying wary of Crawford’s power. Counter left has Spence dodging away. They exchange jabs. That was a feeling-out round.

Round 2: Not much action during the first half of this round, with both fighters unsuccessfully trying to set traps for the each other. Both fighters trade fire, with the champ getting the better of the exchange in the center of the ring. You could see Crawford doing some real-time data analysis in the ring, trying to figure out "Mean Machine." (10-9, Crawford; 20-18 Crawford)

"I’m totally focused on staying at 135 pounds because it’s where I feel strongest and most comfortable," Cruz said. "I just want to give everyone watching a great show. I’ve made a connection with the fans because I showed that I’m not afraid to fight the best. I have no fear, just resolve."

Round 1 – Oh!Big right hand early for Soniano wobbles Stoltzfus. Stoltzfus recovers quickly. A low blow from Stoltzfus halts the action. It resumes a few seconds after. Leg kick from Stoltzfus. Body kick by Soriano. Left hook by Soriano, as he counters Stoltzfus. Stoltzfus connects with a right hand. They briefly clinch, and break away quickly. Two minutes left. Oh! Huge left by Soriano. Again, Soriano stuns Stoltzfus. Stoltzfus closes the distance and takes down Soriano. Soriano immediately back up, gets presses against the cage for a few seconds, and then breaks free. Another big left by Soriano. Great chin on Stoltzfus. Oh! Soriano gets dropped a second before the bell.
