Dear Mr. Frick, Every week or month, we read here, in the papers, of your marvelous purchases, and the aim of this letter is to felicitate you, because you are the admiration of all European dealers and amateur. I personally, you can very well understand, am very proud to think that the greatest part of all those beautiful things, which I have sold to Mr. Morgan, are coming into your collection, and I believe that this is the best recommendation for e when you think of the difficulties which I have had to buy all those beautiful things and to find them. People in Paris say, and I consider it is foolish, that you have decided to only buy from the Duveen. I hope that this will not be the case, and I will have the chance, when you come to Europe, to show you different things which are in the line of those which you have bought. You can very well imagine that, being on the spot here, I take advantage of every private sale which turns up, in order to secure the best things which are
