COPY

Stamped: COPY IN LETTER BOOK.

November 15, 1916.

My dear Mr. Duveen,

It is very kind of you to be willing to come here tomorrow afternoon to help entertain my visitors, but I think it much better that you should not. I would rather there should be no one here as well posted as you are on works of art. The crowd would gather round you and the people would not move through the house as fast as they should. I know you will understand, Very sincerely yours,

Mr. Joseph Duveen, 720 Fifth Avenue, N. Y.
