23rd June 1916 Dear Mr. Frick, I am extremely obliged to you for your very kind letter and recommendation to Mr. Sanderson. With regard to the Fragonard Room. Under the circumstances of the change from one room to the other, it is rather more extravagant than it might otherwise have been, but I can assure you that I have done my best, and have not increased the expense by any extravagance on my own part.
