Porcelains -5- (LIBRARY Cont.) BLACK HAWTHORN BEAKER VASE on carved ebony stand. Decorated with a white prunus-tree springing from light green and rose-colored rocks, near which finches and deep green bamboo leaves are seen; a collar of black scroll design on pale green encircles the base of the neck, which is decorated like the body. K'ANG HSI Ht. 22 1/4" TALL NECKED BEAKER in black enamel. The black enamel of this vase if of the "raven's wing" variety deep in tone with a dull lustre. Prunus flowers on branches in the purest white overspread the surface of the body and neck, with leaves in the brightest green. K'ANG HSI Ht. 16 3/4" QUADRILATERAL BLACK HAWTHORN VASE, white prunus and leafless bamboo growing from green and rose-colored rocks; in the branches and flying above are yellow finches.
