Messrs. M. Knoedler & Company, 355 Fifth Avenue, New York.
Gentlemen: I beg to enclose check for one hundred and seventy-five thousand ($175,000.00) dollars on the Mercantile Trust Company of New York, in payment for two Rembrandts. Please send receipted bill to Pittsburg, and let it contain a full and complete description of the pic- tures, with all the information regarding them you have. A duplicate might be sent to me at 640 Fifth Avenue.
