Durbins.

plans I had made for June. If therefore by any chance you could see your way to allowing the picture to come here sooner it would greatly relieve me but I must leave it to you to decide since I do not know what the reasons are that make you desire the delay.

One other matter I must see about and that is the frame. The present one is altogether IMPOSSIBLE/IMPASSIBLE?? and I am trying to find a suitable old one This requires some time as the frames that appear suitable must be tried on the picture. I hope to find something really worthy of this splendid masterpiece.

I was very sorry that the picture had not arrived in Paris when I saw Mrs & Miss Frick in Paris on my way back but Chenue has instructions to give them every facility in the matter.

I suppose there is no hope of seeing you in Europe this summer. It would give me the greatest pleasure to show you the picture myself. Yrs. sincerely SIGNED Roger E. Fry.
