LETTERHEAD H. C. FRICK. PITTSBURGH, PA. /LETTERHEAD

March 4th, 1912.

Dear Mr. Knoedler:-

I am taking the liberty of sending to you the enclosed communication from Mr. William A. Coffin, addressed to Mr. Frick.

I was about to write Mr. Coffin, express regret on account of Mr. Frick's absence, and say that the house is closed, etc., but it occurred to me it might be well to ask your advice in regard to letting Mr. Coffin see the Velasquez and other pictures. I would prefer not to break over the rule, but perhaps you know of some reason to make an exception in this case.

Sorry to hear that John Holroyd is not doing so well. Thank you for letting me know. Thought best to cable Mr. Frick.

Yours very truly,

F. W. McE

To MR. ROLAND F. KNOEDLER, 556 Fifth Avenue, NEW YORK CITY, N. Y.
