Dear Sir,

We beg to hand you herewith your letter addressed to this bank under date February 28th, 1908, depositing with us $200,000 Pennsylvania Railroad Company 3 1/2% Convertible Bonds, to be held as security for a credit of $125,000 to be extended to Messrs. Knoedler & Company. For these bonds there were substituted later $200,000 Southern Pacific Company 4% Convertible Bonds due 1929, and the time limit of your letter of February 28th was extended from time to time, finally expiring today. NOTE Note + pictures exchanged /NOTE NOTE 10/31/11 /NOTE

As the note of Messrs. Knoedler & Company for $125,000 that we have been carrying has been paid to-day, we return you the bonds herewith. Kindly acknowledge receipt, and oblige, NOTE Mr. F. paid this for M. K. & Co. taking a new note for $125,000 /NOTE
