Pride's Crossing, Massachusetts, July 24, 1908.

My dear Roland:

Your cable reading "Thanks very much please do as you think best regards family" just received.

I took the liberty of disposing of the stock before its receipt and it could be now purchased for considerably less than I realized for it. I enclose herewith a statement, together with my check for $9710. Please return the statement after you have examined it.

Just came in from a fine game of golf with Mr. Lee and Mr. Grier. I happened to best them both. We had a thoroughly good time.

With kind regards, Sincerely yours,

To Mr. Roland F. Knoedler, 23, Place Vendome, Paris.
