DUVEEN BROTHERS. FROM THE MORGAN COLLECTION. 29. A TERRA COTTA GROUP REPRESENTING CUPID AND PSYCHE. By Clodion (signed and dated). Around Psyche's neck Cupid has flung a garland of roses, and in his hand he holds a wreathe of roses over her head. Three Amorini clamber around time, one of which is pushing Psyche toward Cupid. $84,000.00

47. SMALL LOUIS XVI CIRCULAR TABLE WITH LAPIS LAZULI TOP. Resting on gilt bronze tripod feet; with figures of women as terminals, by Pierre Gouthiere. 19,200.00

14. A LOUIS XVI MARQUETERIE COMMODE. Made for the apartment of Marie Antoinette at St. Cloud by Jean Riesener and branded the back with the cypher of Marie Antionette and the Garde Meuble de la Reine. The centre panel is decorated with a large ormolu medallion of two doves framed in marqueterie woods representing garlands of flowers. This panel is flanked by a marqueterie of circular trellis pattern enclosing sprays of flowers. The friezes which surround it are finely chased gilt bronze by Gouthiere of acanthus leaves and asperges. The corner mounts representing sprays of flowers. Formerly in the Hamilton Palace Collection and later in the Collection of the Marquise de Foz of Lisbon, and then in the possession of Mr. J. Pierpont Morgan. 138,000.00 Forward [total:] $241,200.00
