COPY

Stamped in blue ink: COPY IN LETTER BOOK.

Prides Crossing, Mass., August 12, 1916.

Messrs. White, Allom & Company, 19 East 52nd Street, New York. Gentlemen: Mr. Frick desires me to say that he has your favor of the 11th, and did state to Sir Charles he would instruct that a check be sent you; he, however, overlooked it, but now feels that he would like to talk over certain matters with Sir Charles before making any further remittance. He cannot understand the high charges for work done by your firm in the Fragonard Room, and he believes he has paid you for everything else, except a balance which is equalled by materials which you have belonging to him on the old work; he has no doubt, however, he can satisfactorily arrange everything with your Sir Charles. Yours very truly, (Signed) A. Braddel.
