Porcelains -4- LIBRARY (Cont.) OVIFORM HAWTHORN VASE, with spreading lip, in black enamel. With flying song birds in aubergine and yellow. A feature of the decoration is the great number of white prunus flowers which are scattered over the surface of the vase. K'ANG HSI Ht. 17" TWO BLACK HAWTHORN BEAKER VASES. Decorated with red, white and yellow peonies, magnolias and hydrangeas, with leaves of varying green on a ground of black enamel. K'ANG HSI Ht. 26 1/2" QUADRILATERAL BLACK HAWTHORN VASE, tapering on ebony stand. Decorated with white-blossomed hydrangea, magnolia and plum, with aubergine limbs, sprining from red and green rocks' above are small red and green birds and insects, in reserve on black. On the neck are four upright foliated red-bordered ovals with sprays of flowers on black. K'ANG HSI Ht. 18 1/4" QUADRILATERAL BLACK HAWTHORN VASE, Decorated with flowering shrubs, plants and yellow finches in enamel colors on a black ground. K'ANG HSI Ht. 19 1/4"
