Mr. R. F. Knoedler, 23 Place Vendome, Paris, France.

Dear Mr. Knoedler:-

Our mutual friend sails on the "Deutschland" on DELETED TEXT the /DELETED TEXT 30th inst. DELETED TEXT and /DELETED TEXT will be accompanied by a friend and a servant. They would like to go from Cherbourg, where they land, to Paris by motor. I would be greatly obliged if you will arrange to have a splendid machine with a good chauffeur meet them on their arrival. If the chauffeur does not know the roads well it might be better to send a second man along. I have no doubt you will advise them care of the steamer just what arrangements you have made, and I am satisfied that it will be well done. If you think well of it you might suggest stopping at Dives over night, as we did two years ago.

Nothing special has occured SIC here since your departure. The city is gradually becoming depopulated and we expect to go to Prides about the first of June. Harding, Carstairs and myself have now arranged to sail on the "Kaiser Wilhelm 11" on July 9th.
