She answers that she is undecided whether she will return to New York as she is very much concerned about her mother's health but that as you had requested us to take a cabin for her to put her down for Sept. 29th. I would suggest that you write her to sail on that date.

I am anxious to see "Eagle Rock". TOM?? wrote that you had had a number of paintings sent there. No reason why you should not enjoy them all year round. I suppose you are aware that the real reason for the recent boom in Wall ST was that Mr. Harrison or some one got wind that I had 500 Southern Pacific which they wanted now they have it after giving me a satisfactory profit. Please do not tell this to Mr. James Stillman as he will continue to think that I am too rich: it is my wealth that prevents him buying of us!
