LETTERHEAD M. KNOEDLER & CO., SUCCESSORS TO GOUPIL & CO., 355 FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK. CABLE ADDRESSES. KNOEDLER _ NEW YORK. KNOEDLER _ PARIS. PARIS OFFICE, 2 RUE GLÜCK. /LETTERHEAD

September 19th, 1900.

Mr. H. C. Frick, Pittsburg, Pa.

Dear Sir:-

Your favor of the 18th instant is just to hand. In answer we hasten to say that when our artist, Mr. Thoener, was in Pittsburg some two months ago, he took the liberty of calling at your residence and examining your pictures, all of which he found to be in perfect condition, with the exception of one which needed a light coat of varnish. This he attended to. Our artist now seems to think that your pictures are in perfect condition; if, however you should prefer him going on to Pittsburg to examine same again, we of course will take pleasure in complying with your request.

Yours respectfully,

SIGNED M. Knoedler & Co.
