Palace in 1859, when the States were incorporated with the Kingdom of Italy. The widow-Duchess, mother of the Duke Robert, was authorized to take the portrait, with the other properties belonging to the family, and it was returned to Wartegg Castle in Switzerland, near Zurich. Later on, the Duke Robert removed it to Schwartzan Castle, in Austria. When he died, in 1907, the picture went to his heir, the Prince Elias of Bourbon, who took to Liechtenegg Castle, near Wels, also in Austria; from this place it was removed a few months ago to Vienna, where it was recently sold by the Prince Elias to Messrs Agnew and Sons. of London.
