In the "Aviso of the 16th August, 1644," he says: - "The King (God save him) had sent to the Queen, our Lady, a portrait of his, just as he is in that campaign; a very good likeness, and dressed in red and silver, without cloak, and with a walking stick.........The Catalan Nation begged the King to lend it to her for this day (the day of the official entry) which was granted with pleasure. This picture was hung in the Church, under a canopy embroidered
