M. KNOEDLER & CO., SUCCESSORS TO GOUPIL & CO., 355 FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK. CABLE ADDRESSES. KNOEDLER __ NEW YORK. KNOEDLER __ PARIS. PARIS OFFICE, 2 RUE GLUCK.

New York, Aug. 11. 98.

H. C. Frick, Esq., Holland House.

Dear Sir,

would not buy this picture from him.

We all must agree with him saying, that seventy five hundred doll. DOLLARS would still be reasonable and that its value will be estimated at ten thousand in a few years from now.

I should like very much to see this Mauve go to you, as one of the finest & most poetic we ever had.

Very truly yours

L. F. Roos for M. Knoedler & Co.
