On September 3, 1896- Mr. Frick wrote to J. W. Beck, London, England, and sent draft for £26-25-gd. and on Sept 27. 1896 acknowledges receipt of "Little Red Riding Hood"

No letter in Mr. Frick's letter book from July 14 to Aug 24. 1896.

He was in Europe this summer and evidently purchased this picture. It does not appear in the "Paintings Account." only as a credit on Oct 12. 1896 by Knoedler & Co.} NOTE (BB#2 - page 32 - $5000 - on % of "The Bridge") /NOTE The frame for picture was purchased Oct 10. 1896 from J. J. Gillespie & Co
