THOMAS B CLARKE THE FINE ARTS 4 EAST 34TH STREET NEW YORK

New York Oct 29 1895.

H. C. Frick Esq. Pittsburgh Penn

Dear Sir

I have this day received your letter of 28 inst. "THIS MONTH" enclosing cheque for $5000. in payment for two paintings by Geo GEORGE Inness as per invoice rendered. Accept my thanks for prompt settlement.

Yesterday I wrote you at length about the two pictures you own and I hope the details will be interesting to you. Last night I met Mr Carnegie and I told him that I hoped to attend the opening exercises of the Carnegie Library on night of November 5. Mr Carnegie has extended to me courtesies at the Duquesne Club and I shall be gratified if I may meet you before I return to New York.

Faithfully yours

Thomas B. Clarke
