As they will certainly be snapped up as soon as they are shown, (they are now being cleaned), it wld. be very good if you would telegraph me yr. answer to Metmusart London. The pieta wh. you bought in Paris has been transferred to canvas & is nearly ready to send. Shall I send it direct to you or will you have it temporarily deposited in the Museum to avoid paying the duty. I hope business in New York is better than when you left Europe.
