MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS BOSTON, MASS. November 22, 1910. Dear Mr. Frick: We have no railing in our long gallery to keep people at a proper distance from pictures exhibited there, though we have always intended to have one. We are now putting in such a railing. I write this to you, because when you were last in the gallery there was no railing, and you might be surprised to find one in it now. If, for any reason, you prefer to have no railing, and will let me know, I will see that none is put in. A railing gives additional safety. Yours faithfully, GM Lane H.C.
