Columbia University in the City of New York 821 West 178th Street, December 31, 1918.

H.C. Frick, Esq., 1 East 70th Street, New York City.

My dear Sir, Thank you very much indeed for the liberality with which you have opened your collection to myself and class on January 31, 3-5 p.m. We deeply appreciate the privilege of studying and enjoying your wonderful pictures, each one of which is not only a unique specimen of its kind, but a characteristic example of the artist as well. I hope I will not be imposing too far on your kindness if I now ask the privilege of coming once by myself before January 31 in order to study more carefully the pictures. Such masterpieces require a more intimate acquaintance that I have been able to form in my previous visits. I should especially appreciate an appointment any afternoon this week, if suitable to your convenience, as I have holidays throughout. Might I also see the handbook which I understand has been privately printed. Thanking you in advance, and wishing you a Happy New Year, I am, Very sincerely yours, George Kriehn P.S. Kindly direct reply to my home address, 821 West 178 Street, New York City.
