RECEIVED JUN 14 1919 247 Fifth Avenue New York, June 9, 1919.

H.C. Frick, Esq. 1 East 70th Street, New York.

My dear Sir, Mr. Harold O. Barker, nephew of the late Mrs. Bacon and principal heir under her will is inclined to dispose, privately, of some of the art collected by the late Mr. Edward Bacon and particularly the pictures, there being so many of them.

As you are aware, there is in the collection a very fine Fragonard, The Sermon of Love, and the thought that you might be interested in it prompt my addressing you.

This picture had a good history which I would be glad to forward, together with an illustration of same, if permitted to do so, or better still, and if agreeable to you, have you see if here at the apartment or send same to your home for inspection.

Might an expression be asked as to whether this painting or other parts of the collection would be of interest.

Very truly yours, Louise D. Sellman for the Estate of Virginia P Bacon.
