The Ely School Ely Court Greenwich, Conn.

April 10, 1917. Mr. Henry C. Frick, Fifth Avenue and Seventieth Street, New York City.

My dear Sir: We have been told that you occasionally permit strangers to see your pictures, and I write to ask if you would extend this courtesy to our school girls some time before the last week in May. We have a household of girls who come from all over the country; many of them may not be in New York again for many years. They not only finish school here the first of June, but it is the end of a course in art study extending over a period of several years. Of course, everyone hears that the greatest art treasures of the country are today in your galleries, and we would be very grateful if you would offer our art class the privilege of seeing them if you are in the habit of giving strangers this privilege. Trusting that you will not feel that I have taken a liberty in making this inquiry, believe me, Yours very truly, (Mrs) Sarah Ely Parsons
