Appraising, Catalogues, Research and history of Painting, Marbles, and Works of Art.

March 26th 1918 Mr. Henry C. Frick 5th Ave + 70th St. NYC Dear Sir,, I met you in your home several years ago by appointment to + have? you a portrait of Washington by Stuart. I make a specialty of portraits of Washington. In the past six months I have sold ones each to Mr Charles A. Munn, Mrs. E. H. Harrisman

  1. 1 East 69th and Mr Thomas B. Clarke, and many

others. I only mention names for the reasons the owners allowed them to be published but the writer was not a party to it. I write you to say that I would like to see you a few moments if convenient in regard to the most important portrait of Washington ever painted. What I wish to say cannot be written. I would like to give you the information first and I sincerely trust you may be interested. Thank you, Joyce I. McGurk
