My dear Mr. Hart: I am much pleased to receive your letter regarding the Houdon bust. I have had grave doubts about it myself, but of course, my knowledge does not permit me to pass on it. Would you have any objections to my sending your letter, or a copy of it, to Mr. Joseph Duveen of Duveen Brothers? I have not yet purchases the bust. or course, he will be very much disappointed and not agree with you, but I am convinced by what you say, it is not a work I should have in my collection.
