December 13, 1916. THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART NEW YORK

Office of the Secretary Sar, Dec 16 1000-1200am

Dear Mr. Frick: A group of gentlemen, who form a club called The Walpole Society, are having their annual dinner in New York on Friday evening. Some of them have expressed a desire to visit your collection, and much against my principles. because I hesitate to ask so great a favor as might in any way be con-strued as taking advantage of my position here, I am led, as secretary of the Society, to ask if you would be will willing to allow these gentlemen to visit your house on Saturday morn-ing. They would esteem it a very great favor indeed. I am enclosing a list of the members in order that you may see who they are.

Sincerely yours, H.W. Kent

To Mr. Henry Clay Frick, One East Seventieth Street, New York City.
