BROWN & SHARPE MFG. CO MACHINERY AND TOOLS PROVIDENCE, R.I. U.S.A

May 10, 1916.

Henry C. Frick, Esq, My dear Sir: I should very much like- if that be possible to visit your home with four of my friends to see the beautiful paintings which you there have in place. My friends' names are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cushman of Brookline, Robert Minster, Esq, of Bedford Gardens, London, and Mrs. Dudley Morris of Riverside Drive, New York City. I do not wish to ask for anything that should not be asked for, but have made bold to write to you direct-ly. In case, my very good Sir, you are willing to grant me this favor and could consent to permit my friends and myself to see only what I ask for above. I would add that I should like to present myself at your house at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 70th Street during the morning or afternoon of May 25th or during the morning or afternoon of May 26th. But I respect, I do not wish to ask for anything that is not within reason or incommoding to your convenience. I you do reply, would you kindly do so to me not at my factory (the address above) but to me at my Cambridge resi-dence. 101 Brattle Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Believe me, Sir Respectfully your obedient servant, Lucian Sharpe
