Dear Sir: We duly received your favor of September 29th, as well as the six pictures therein mentioned. As requested we are crediting you with the following. Two Paintings by Sir Hanry Raeburn, "John Campbell, Senior of Possil" "Mrs. John Campbell, Snior of Possil" as per our bill of December 30, 1916, $24,500 One Painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds, "Rev. Laurence Sterne", as per our bill of December 30, 1916 8,500 $33,000 We are also crediting you with $8,000, the full proceeds of the paintings by L. Lhermitte, "haymaking Time", Which we have sold for your account. (Purchased in Sept net for $4,200 00) foles 79 Bill book #1 As requested we are enclosing statement of your account to date.
